Globeducate is one of the leading international K12 education groups in the world, a network of 55 premium bi-lingual and international schools, as well as online programmes, educating 28,000 students in nine countries.

Globeducate schools ensure that our students develop skills and abilities beyond the purely academic. Our students learn how to play their part in shaping the future; how to tackle the unprecedented social, economic and environmental challenges that are reshaping our global communities. Our teachers, counsellors and partners prepare this generation for jobs that have not yet been created, for technologies that have not yet been invented, and to solve problems that have not yet been anticipated.

A Globeducate school creates opportunities to connect with students from our schools across the world to come together, in person or online, for sport, music, arts, academic challenges and to work with others to help build a more equal, fair and sustainable world.

A crucial part of providing an excellent education, Globeducate teachers inspire our students to find their voice in this world. They encourage them to understand world events and to think about their values and what is important to them, and to challenge ignorance and intolerance.

Globeducate at UK COP26 – the 26th UN Climate Change Conference hosted by Glasgow, UK, in partnership with Italy

The WWF Tree of Promises in the Blue Zone at COP26 in Glasgow, pictured above, will be on view to United Nations delegates between 31st October and 12th November.  This zone will be the scene of historic negotiations between those with the power to accelerate action towards the goals of the Paris Agreement and the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.

The tree´s leaves display promises from our students. These messages of hope are directed at the decision makers of our planet´s future.

Being invited to be part of this global event is not only proof that we are doing the right things. It is also evidence that we are doing things right. Our students have a voice. And they can, and will, Shape the World.

UNITING THE WORLD TO TACKLE CLIMATE CHANGE🌎

TIPS proudly presents Mahashri Ranjith Kumar of Grade 9, TIPS Coimbatore CBSE  who was one of the Panelists representing the younger generation in UN COP26( Global Fight against climate change) 👏

This event is much awaited by the Indian media who have all their ears open to capture Indian Leaders who are participating in the summit.

We all did see that the G20, COP26 saw a special protocol for the Indian Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi who said that the country had five climate-related pledges, including meeting 50% of its energy needs by renewable means by 2030. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also announced that India will achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2070.

Well, this being the National Highlights, we the TIPSIANS are proud to draw the spotlight on our Student Prodigy, Mahashri Ranjith Kumar who is pursuing her Class 9 in TIPS CBSE Coimbatore Campus, is now a member of the Youth Stem Summit Design Team.

Under the STEM For All and The Climate Crisis COP26 Hybrid Event – A session where around 18 experienced International Engineers and Scientists from around the world had gathered to ‘Walk the Talk’ on the ‘Role of STEM’ and ‘Role of Youth and Women in STEM spoke on the various issues and problems that are prevailing and rapidly spreading Climatic Crisis that are destroying the earth.

The COP26 had a Decision-Making Panel that answered the various questions posed by theaudience. The Panel members replied with possible solutions to all the queries and arising concerns that were of global interest.

Last but not the least, Mahashri voiced the honour of the Decision Making Panel and gave a noteworthy response to the questions,

What was going on in #COP26? and If she feels hopeful and helpful that they got to be making the change?

Mahashri’s collection of reports, surveys, and quotes of statistics were mind blowing and her confidence in the youth held everyone in awe. She did mention the different ways through which the youth are trying to spread and bring in awareness among the people who are still oblivious of the consequences of the Climate Crisis.

Her words ‘We are the first generation to be affected by Climate Crisis and We are the last generation to tackle it before it becomes catastrophic and irreversible.’, made the listeners wonderstruck and ignited their consciousness that reminded them of their duty.

She concluded that since it is a do-or-die situation it is the need of the hour and she is pretty hopeful that #COP26 looks forward to bring-in the actual change i.e., WALK THE TALK.

DR SONALI, DIRECTOR – TIPS WAS PRESENT IN THE PANEL DISCUSSION ON “HELICOPTER PARENTING” ORGANIZED BY EDUCATION NEWS NETWORK (ENN)

Short Peek Into The Panel Discussion On ‘How Should Educators Deal With Helicopter Parents’.
Check Out Dr Sonali, Our Director-Tips Presenting Her Views.

Helicopter Parenting

“A helicopter parent pays extremely close attention to a child’s experiences and problems, particularly at educational institutions. Helicopter parents are so named because they oversee every aspect of their child’s life constantly.”

With nuclear families, parents are getting over-obsessive about every move of their children and want to control the progress. This leads to a lot of complications. The panelists present in this discussion are top educators, trying to make sense of the situation and want to find ways to resolve it with empathy and understanding.

Education News Network (ENN) is the only online news channel dedicated to education. A division of Education Today organized an online panel discussion on 12th Feb. We’re happy to share that our Sonali Mam was part of the panelists during the session.
